Tesla's Director of Battery Technology and Drive Architecture, Vineet Mehta, leaves after 18 years

EVWire brief: Vineet says he’ll take a break after 18 years as he joined Tesla as a Staff Engineer, R&D in 2007 and has since become one of its most senior battery executives. Vineet says the Tesla battery chemistry and powertrain/vehicle teams are “in strong position to execute and Tesla’s technical roadmap is poised to maintain EV leadership for several years to come. Despite what you may read in the news, next generation of leaders are coming up and Tesla’s technical future looks so bright we may all need sunglasses to see it.”
