EVwire brief: Tesla is officially heading to Oman. The company will enter the Sultanate in 2027, and it's already hiring its first team in the capital, Muscat. EVwire is the first to report on this new update from the electric vehicle maker.
Pawel Trzpis, Tesla's Market Lead for the Middle East, shared the news on LinkedIn:

Trzpis said Tesla is starting with its initial Sales roles. Three are currently open on Tesla's careers page, all full-time and all based in Muscat:
All three sit under Tesla's Sales & Customer Support category. If any, a Store Manager posting is a good hint that Muscat is getting a physical Tesla store, not just an online configurator.
Service and charging roles haven't been posted yet. Trzpis described these as the first openings, so more listings should follow as Tesla builds out its Oman team ahead of launch.
Oman sits on the southeastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula, bordering the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. It's one of the six members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and it will join a regional Tesla lineup that already includes the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Israel.

Context:
Oman has been on Tesla's radar since February 2017, when Elon Musk launched Tesla in the UAE and mentioned that Oman, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia will be next. Jordan followed a month later, and Qatar opened orders in December 2023. Saudi Arabia got its turn in April 2025, as EVwire reported, and by March 2026 it had sales and service centers in Riyadh and Jeddah, plus 48 Supercharger stalls.
Tesla's charging footprint in the region is growing too. As EVwire previously reported, Supercharger for Business, which lets companies buy and host Superchargers that Tesla operates, is already live in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Jordan. Oman already has a small Tesla link. In 2018, Majid Al Futtaim opened four EV chargers at City Centre Muscat in collaboration with Tesla.
