EVWire brief: Envoy, the electric car-sharing arm of Blink Charging, expanded its premium fleet to three properties managed by East West Hospitality in Snowmass, Colorado, where Envoy already had a Tesla M3 and Rivian R1S in service.
Electric Pass Lodge now hosts two Tesla Model Ys and Snowmass Base Village offers a 2025 Rivian R1S for guests, all reservable through Envoy’s mobile app.
Context: Blink Charging acquired Envoy through its subsidiary Blink Mobility in April 2023, back then Envoy had deployed over 300 EVs at more than 150 multifamily properties. Now, Envoy offers a flagship all-electric car-sharing services in the United States for private property amenities and booked $4M in revenue for the 12 months ended September 30th, 2024.
This wasn’t the only rollup either, Blink Mobility also acquired BlueLA Carsharing back in 2020, and while we don’t have an exact fleet number for Envoy today, Blink Mobility was already the largest 100% EV car-sharing company in California before the Envoy acquisition in 2022.
The closest to a fleet size I could find for Envoy is this FB post from Envoy saying the Envoy drivers drove 404,186 miles in 2024.
Plans for Envoy spin-off: Already noted back in the plans in 2023, the parent company Blink Charging filed with SEC to spin out Envoy on February 12th, 2025 in an $12M IPO. If approved, will start trading under the ticker $EVOY. Exact IPO date is currently unknown.
