EVwire brief: Tesla has officially launched its operations in Latvia, opening local online ordering for the Model 3 and Model Y and opening its first physical location in the country today at Riga’s Spice shopping center.
According to Tesla’s Latvian launch announcement, Model 3 starts at €37,970 and Model Y at €41,970 including VAT, with both vehicles available for test drives at the new pop-up location. First customer deliveries are expected in early 2027.
The Riga pop-up is opening with a public event running from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, with live music, food stalls, activities and Tesla product specialists on hand. The first 100 visitors who take a test drive will receive an exclusive gift.

Tesla is also preparing a permanent service center in Latvia, although the company has not provided an opening date. The release says the facility will provide local owners with service from trained Tesla technicians.
The launch completes Tesla’s physical rollout across the three Baltic states. Tesla entered Lithuania in 2024 and officially launched in Estonia earlier this year, leaving Latvia as the final piece of the regional expansion. EVwire previously reported that Tesla had established its Latvian and Estonian entities in late 2025, pointing toward the eventual market launches.
It's worth noting that when EVwire first reported on Tesla's Latvia plans in July, the configurator showed estimated delivery windows of September to October for the Model 3 and October to November for the Model Y. The press release now puts first deliveries at early 2027.

Context:
Tesla’s Latvian launch has been a long time coming. EVwire first reported in January that Tesla had officially established companies in both Latvia and Estonia, with the registrations pointing toward eventual sales and service operations in the two markets.
By July, Tesla had confirmed the August 21 opening of its Riga pop-up and the start of online ordering, completing its expansion into all three Baltic states. At the time, Tesla's Latvian lineup was already clear: Model 3 and Model Y would be the first vehicles offered locally.
Now the launch has actually arrived, with Latvian customers able to order the cars directly from Tesla and visit a local Tesla location for the first time.
