EVwire brief: European dealerships began taking orders for Leapmotor's new B03X this week. Leapmotor pitches the car as a "global strategic model," the brand's first vehicle built from the ground up for international markets rather than just China.
The B03X starts at a list price of €24,900 (about $28,460), which Stellantis says makes "advanced electric mobility more attainable than ever." The automaker describes the model as bringing "SUV character and versatility into a compact, city-friendly format," while preserving the space and comfort of a larger vehicle.
Under the skin, the B03X rides on Leapmotor's newest EV platform, part of what the brand calls its "Advanced Technology for All" approach, pairing competitive range and fast charging with connected features in a compact and affordable body.

We weren’t kidding about the B03X’s taillights. They’re literal smiley faces. Leapmotor actually calls them “HA-HA lights.”
Context:
The B03X launch continues the European push Leapmotor has been running through Leapmotor International, the joint venture Stellantis formed in 2023 after paying roughly $2 billion CAD for a 20% stake in the Chinese automaker to expand global sales of its EVs. EVwire has also covered Stellantis's broader ambitions for that partnership, including talks to assemble Leapmotor EVs at its idled Brampton, Ontario plant.
The B03X is not the first Leapmotor model we have covered opening European orders. The B10, a larger C-segment electric SUV, launched in Europe in July 2025 at €29,900 with up to 434 km (270 mi) of WLTP range, part of a European expansion that had grown Leapmotor's sales and service network to 600 points across 16 markets by mid-2025.

The B03X’s interior is quite spacious for the vehicle’s size. Those rear seats fold up too, for extra utility.
