EVwire brief: Tesla was the best-selling imported car brand in Taiwan in June, landing 4,369 registrations to edge Toyota's 4,256 for the top spot. Tesla Taiwan announced the feat on X.
The Model Y led imported luxury SUVs with 2,201 units, outselling the Lexus NX, while the Model 3 topped imported luxury sedans at 1,611. Here's Tesla Taiwan's update on X:
Tesla's grip on the EV-only market was even tighter. Its four models made up 4,369 of the 5,789 EVs registered in Taiwan in June, about three-quarters of the entire market, and took the top three spots outright, Model Y, Model 3, and Model X, with the Model S seventh. The best-selling non-Tesla EV, the Toyota bZ4X, managed just 310 units.

Tesla takes the podium and four of the top seven in Taiwan's June EV market. The next EV is a distant fourth. Source
Context:
June also looked like a farewell for two Teslas on the island. The Model X posted a rare jump to 443 units, likely its last batch in Taiwan after Tesla ended production of the falcon-wing SUV in May, closing an 11-year run.
The Model S also made a surprise return at 114 units, probably a final delivery batch as well, as both models are now discontinued. The two flagship vehicles capped off their run with the Model S and Model X Signature’s release in the United States.
