EVwire brief: Tesla highlighted a new case study for its Tesla for Business program, featuring Compnow, Australia’s largest privately owned IT company.
Compnow operates just under 30 Tesla Model 3 vehicles across Australia as part of its corporate fleet transition.
Compnow executives said the shift to Tesla improved fleet efficiency, reduced manual administration, and aligned with the company’s broader technology and sustainability goals.
Compnow’s Tesla fleet was highlighted in a video by James Middleton, Tesla’s General Manager of Enterprise Sales for Australia & New Zealand:

In the video accompanying the announcement, Compnow CFO Deb Whelehan described Tesla as a fit for the company’s operational and cultural priorities.
According to Whelehan, Tesla’s vehicles were a perfect fit for the company.
“When we decided to retire our old fleet of vehicles, Tesla gave us a direction that really ticked all the boxes from a sustainability footprint, also in line with the culture, to have tech in every aspect of our company.”

Engineering Manager Ryan Thuraisingham pointed to the software-focused nature of Tesla’s vehicles, including connectivity features and over-the-air updates, as key advantages.
“The real benefit is the software updates, which continues to improve the car over time. It’s just like a well-managed IT environment,” he said.

Compnow also highlighted that Tesla’s fleet management tools simplified vehicle administration and daily operations for employees.
Tesla for Business portal, for one, automatically syncs vehicle data, eliminating the need for manual mileage logging.
“Previously, we used to have to have our people log their kilometers manually. The 'Tesla for Business' management portal—the cars sync to the portal automatically. We don't need any manual input.”

Compnow also installed Tesla Wall Connectors at employees’ homes to support charging across its national fleet.
“For us, moving our corporate fleet over hasn't been just good for the environment. It's been good for our people, it's been good for our brand, and it's been good for our bottom line,” Whelehan said.
