Some interesting movements among China’s best-selling cars: Geely's Galaxy Xingyuan (33,359) held second place despite slipping one spot; Leapmotor's new A10 (24,865) rose one spot; Li Auto's i6 (21,453) took fourth, and the Xiaomi SU7 rounded out the top five with 20,414 units sold, despite dropping two spots.
BYD's Fangchengbao Ti7 (19,710) jumped four spots to sixth, followed by Changan's Qiyuan Q05 (18,908). BYD's Yuan UP (17,945) rose three places and the Song Pro (17,439) went up four places. The Toyota Camry closed out the list in tenth, climbing an impressive 14 spots to 17,114 units.

There’s a lot of competiton in China, but the Model Y is still in a league of its own.
Context:
Tesla China’s retail win comes as the company’s business has been on a tear more broadly. Tesla China sold 89,091 vehicles wholesale in June, its best month of 2026 and a 24.4% jump year-over-year, extending an eight-month streak of year-over-year growth.
BYD alone put three models in China's top ten this month. Tesla put in one at the very top, and it was still the most expensive car on the list by a wide margin.
