EVWire brief: GreenFlux confirmed that its electric-vehicle roaming network has passed one million charge points, a milestone that secures its place among Europeโ€™s largest open-access charging platforms. The companyโ€™s roaming reach spans 37 countries in Europe plus Turkey and includes every EU member state.

Details:

  • Growth has accelerated from 100,000 charge points in early 2019 to 500,000 mid-2023, 900,000 in January 2025 and the one-million mark in July.

  • Four countries exceed 100,000 charge points on the network: the Netherlands, Germany, France and Belgium.

  • The greatest distance between two GreenFlux sites is 4,584 kilometers (2,849 miles), from Ankara in Turkey to the Canary Islands.

Greenflux says roaming is a strong flywheel to facilitate the adoption of EVs in Europe as it offers strong benefits to EV drivers, CPOs and eMSPs. It takes away range anxiety and betters the driving experience for EV drivers; it enhances charge point utilisation rates for CPOS; and it expands reach for eMSPsโ€™ service offering.

Big picture: GreenFlux, part of the DKV Mobility Group, was founded in 2011 with a mission to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility. GreenFlux hasโ€”up to Q1 2025โ€”powered 10.9 billion electric kilometres and 2.07 billion kWh via charging. Over the span of 14 years, GreenFlux has served a diverse set of companies, including the likes of ENGIE Vianeo, Q-Park, TotalEnergies, Interparking, Eneco, EDP, Aldi Nord, Mobilitics and Joulz.

โReaching the 1 million charge points is a fantastic accomplishment and a huge milestone for GreenFlux.

After transforming into a CPMS provider, weโ€™ve put a lot of effort into expanding our European roaming network and improving the roaming experience for our customers. Because of that, we now have one of the largest EV roaming teams AND network in Europe. Iโ€™d like to thank our roaming partners for their commitment, and everyone involved for this success fortheir hard work!โž
