Ignitis ON migrated all its chargers to AMPECO across the three Baltic countries

EVWire brief: AMPECO and Ignitis ON partner to bring all 1,286 chargers Ignitis has launched and thousands it will launch across the Baltics to AMPECO’s white-label and hardware-agnostic EV charging management platform.

Context: The deal creates a truly pan-Baltic charging experience, and the companies say they were able to bring over Ignitis On’s 30,000+ customers and 1,000 business clients to the new platform within just 5 months and zero downtime during the transition. They expected it’d take over 12 months to complete it.

Among other features, AMPECO says they’ve helped Ignitis ON with:

  • Enhanced data analytics capabilities that provide actionable insights on customer behavior;

  • Improved remote monitoring and control of charging stations to ensure reliability;

  • Flexible payment options to accommodate different customer preferences;

  • Customizable app features that can evolve with customer needs.

Ignitis ON plans to go further with the new platform too, like exploring integration with Nordpool for hourly electricity rates, implement payment terminals with local customization, and add features like Plug & Charge.

Also, as we just reported, Ignitis ON secured €60M ($68.5M) in a loan from its second-largest shareholder the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Ignitis today: has deployed 1,286 EV charging points by the end of last quarter (Q1 2025), with ~1,000 of them in Lithuania — and delivered 4.6 GWh of electricity through its chargers across the Baltic states in 2024. The company plans to reach at least 3,500 charging points within the next three years and deploy €115M in financing for developing the infrastructure. It is also looking into expanding into home and depot charging splutions.

AMPECO today: supports over 170 charging network operators in more than 65 countries.
