EVWire brief: among some great conversations with so many fellow EV geeks working in the industry, the EVS38 also got us some insights. Let’s dig deeper one by one with what I learned:

Just learned that Volvo will be launching vehicle to grid (V2G) capability over the air to the ES90 and EX90 owners this winter. That means the SPA2 platform is ready for this and although they didn’t confirm, it’d likely see Polestar 3 get the capability too.
After so many years of V2G pilot projects, are finally arriving at the “available for all”?

Thanks, Lancelot Scott, for the image
Tritium Tri-Flex now in Europe! This system can scale from 2 to 32 dispensers (4 to 64 charging points!), with a total DC output of up to 3.2MW and real-time load balancing. The Tritium Tri-Flex Hub can work with a mix of different dispensers: 100 kW, 200 kW, or 400 kW in a single system.

That’s the CTO of Volvo Group, Lars Stenqvist, on stage at the EVS38 event.
Truns out that Volvo Group electric trucks have now driven 170 million km (105.6M miles) so far, with over 5,000 trucks driving in 50 countries.
I’m in the home of Volvo today: Gothenburg, Sweden. Scania is debuting their first MCS equipped truck today, and I’ll be launching a podcast episode with a very special charging industry guest, stay tuned.

this is the truck I assume is equipped with MCS, in the CharIN booth
And of course, the rather-popular eActros600 was at the event too:
