Renault's Mobilize invests in Free to X, partners to expand fast charging infra in Italy

EVWire brief: The Renault mobility division Mobilize has acquired a โ€œsignificant stakeโ€ in Free to X, the charging subsidiary of Autostrade per lโ€™Italia, which operates 110 EV charging locations, mainly DC with up to 400kW chargers, along the Autostrade per lโ€™Italia motorway network.

This is a strategic alliance that puts Mobilize is in charge of accelerating the deployment of charging infrastructure outside ASPIโ€™s motorway network, supported by ASPI, which retains control of the charging infrastructure located along its motorway network.
