EVWire brief: Slate Auto, which just recently unveiled its customizable low-cost electric pickup truck (or SUV if you go modular) in the US, said to Techcrunch it has now recorded over 100,000 $50 refundable reservations from people.

The company has said the truck will start below $20,000 after applying the $7,500 federal EV tax credit. Of course, it seems that this tax credit might be on its way out.
We are of course rooting for Slate Auto to make it happen, but can’t stop wondering about this one thing…
