Tesla launches Third-Party Business Tokens, expanding Tesla's B2B "Tesla for Business" platform

Interesting… are you new here? The article is all free below, but since it seems you haven’t signed up for our newsletters yet, I’ll tell you this first: Drop your email here so you won’t miss out on the next issue of our EV industry newsletter:

Tesla just launched Third-Party Business Tokens, allowing 3rd-party apps to give more value to Tesla owners.

Best to have Sloan Cinelli, Manager Fleet & Business at Tesla describe it himself:

❝

“Third-party applications can now interact with cars they have been granted access to by a Tesla for Business admin. T4B administrators can systematically authorize an app through the Tesla for Business platform.

Tesla Fleet API is live in all regions, and supports all types of Tesla devices. We are excited to see what our partners will build to generate additional value for our customers ⚡”

— Sloan Cinelli, Manager Fleet & Business at Tesla

In case you didn’t catch it, the T4B here means Tesla For Business, which seems to be the current name, at least in-house, for their B2B platform.

Here is the Developer page from Tesla with all the details (link),
starting out with the step by step for businesses:

The plans for Tesla’s B2B platform expansion seem to be clear, as confirmed by another Tesla team member saying:

❝

Exciting times for our low key B2B platform, Tesla for Business. More exciting updates en route!

George Bahadue, Head of Business Development, Tesla Charging

What do you think Tesla will launch on the B2B platform next? Let us know in the comments below.
