EVwire brief: Dodge sold 767 Charger Daytona EVs in the US from January through September 2026, down 89% from 7,057 units over the same period last year. Only 233 of those were sold in the third quarter.
The gas-powered Charger, by comparison, sold 8,023 units in the US YTD. Pricing is a big gap between the two: the entry-level ICE Charger with a 3.0-liter inline-six starts at $51,990, while the 2027 Charger Daytona EV now starts at $74,490 including destination, $12,500 more than the previous model year's $61,990.

Since its debut in late 2024, the electric Charger has racked up 8,242 cumulative sales in the US. Its best year so far was 2025, with 7,421 units sold.
The Charger Daytona EV uses a dual-motor setup rated at 630 hp, with its PowerShot feature adding another 40 hp for 10 seconds. The 2027 model gets a factory NACS port but keeps the same 94 kWh usable battery, which charges from 20% to 80% in about 24 minutes and delivers an estimated 267 miles (430 km) of range.
It also features Dodge's Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust, which gives the EV a V8-like sound.

Context:
The 2027 Charger Daytona's NACS port follows Stellantis' NACS adoption announcement in late 2025, which also covered markets like Japan and South Korea. As part of that announcement, Stellantis said existing North American EVs like the Jeep Wagoneer S would also get access to Tesla's Supercharger network starting in 2026.
The Charger Daytona is also serving as a testbed for Stellantis' next-generation battery work. In June, Stellantis integrated Factorial's solid-state battery cells into a Charger Daytona development vehicle and began road testing, marking the first integration of solid-state cells into a Stellantis vehicle. In earlier cell-level validation, the cells hit an energy density of 375 Wh/kg and charged from 15% to 90% in 18 minutes.
