EVwire brief: Tesla Vice President of AI Software Ashok Elluswamy has indicated that the latest FSD V14 Lite software for Hardware 3 vehicles is likely headed for a wide rollout.
Elluswamy made the comment on X while responding to a detailed review of software version 2026.20.6.10, writing, "FSD v14 Lite (for Tesla AI3 hardware vehicles) review."
“This is the version that's likely going to wide release.”

The review, posted by longtime FSD tester @BLKMDL3 after more than 100 miles of driving, highlighted several new features and interface updates that bring the Hardware 3 experience closer to Tesla's latest AI4 software.
Among the additions are Start Self Driving from Park, which removes the need to press the brake pedal before engaging FSD, the Self Driving statistics app, FSD usage streaks, updated parking options, and a renamed Pull Over function replacing Curbside.
Tesla has described V14 Lite as a distilled form of FSD Supervised V14.
The reviewer also reported smoother highway behavior, improved lane selection, more confident city driving, and refined acceleration from stops, while noting that a few issues, such as an apparent turn signal bug in traffic lights, were still observed.
"Absolutely incredible what they've accomplished with v14 lite on HW3 cars. Feels like I got a new car."
V14 Lite brings point-to-point supervised FSD to older vehicles in the fleet.
Context:
Tesla has continued refining FSD V14 Lite as it works to bring more of the AI4 software experience to older Hardware 3-equipped vehicles.
Earlier this week, a 2020 Tesla Model 3 with roughly 180,000 miles (290,000 km) on its original battery and drive units completed a 5,000-mile (8,050 km) diagonal drive across the United States using FSD V14 Lite without manual steering, braking or accelerator inputs. The achievement demonstrated the software's capabilities on aging Hardware 3 vehicles as Tesla continues expanding testing ahead of a broader rollout.
