EVwire brief: Kia Canada has confirmed that reservations for the all-new EV5 opened on December 4, 2025, with only 500 units available. Canadians could secure their EV5 with a $1,000 deposit ahead of first deliveries beginning in early 2026.

Kia Canada is officially preparing to launch its next all-electric SUV, confirming that the Kia EV5 reservation window opened December 4, 2025 at 2 p.m. EST. A reservation link was shared by email the same day, allowing Canadian customers to secure their place with a $1,000 CAD ($720 USD) deposit. Only 500 EV5 units will be available in this early reservation round.

NOTE: After the announcement, Kia extended the EV5 reservation window to December 5, 2025 at 2:00pm EST.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in early 2026, adding another mainstream electric SUV option for Canadian families seeking value, efficiency, and modern design.

Kia is promoting the EV5 as a flexible, family-ready SUV that delivers everyday versatility, strong feature content, and competitive range. With pricing starting at around $46,000 CAD ($33,000 USD) for the Light FWD trim, all the way up to $65,000 CAD ($46,800 USD) for the AWD GT-Line Limited version.
