EVwire brief: Tesla's FSD Supervised has completed its first verified coast-to-coast drive across Canada without a single driver intervention. The 6,051 km (3,760-mile) journey from Horseshoe Bay in Vancouver to Tesla's Halifax showroom took 4 days and 21 hours, running on FSD v14.3.3 throughout.
The team, comprised of David Moss, Devin Olsen, and Spencer (@Scotsrule08), reported zero disengagements during the journey, including for parking and at Supercharger stops. A live public tracker logged the trip in real time, recording a 100% self-driving rate for the entire route.
Moss called it "the world's first Canada coast-to-coast fully autonomous drive" on X. Tesla Head of AI Ashok Elluswamy congratulated the team, and Supercharging executive Max de Zegher noted that Tesla's Trans-Canada Supercharger route opened in 2019 and has now been driven coast-to-coast using FSD.
“Routes like Trans-Canada wouldn't get built out and densified through the myopic lens of a charging company. Grateful for Tesla having a broad, longer-term goal of inspiring customers that you can travel anywhere confidently in an EV.”
Context:
The route wasn't without its challenging moments. Spencer posted about one incident on X: "An automated construction stop sign was in the upright position and FSD read it as an actual stop sign, so the car stopped. We got honked at, waited it out, and then FSD continued on,” he wrote. The team held firm and didn't intervene.
Here’s the final leg of the team’s coast-to-coast journey:
Interestingly enough, this is Moss's second major coast-to-coast FSD milestone in five months. On December 31, 2025, he completed the first verified zero-intervention coast-to-coast drive across the US, covering 2,732 miles from the Tesla Diner in Los Angeles to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in 2 days and 20 hours using FSD v14.2.
