Tesla launches Supercharger for Business and Semi Charging for Business in Canada, targets all 55+ of its charging markets

EVwire brief: Tesla has launched its Supercharger for Business and Semi Charging for Business programs in Canada, allowing Canadian businesses to buy and install Tesla Superchargers and Semi chargers on their own properties.

Livio Caputo, from Tesla's Charging for Business team, announced the Canadian launch on LinkedIn. He also noted that Tesla plans to bring the programs to every market where it operates charging:

❝

The goal is to offer Charging for Business in every market where Tesla runs charging, 55+ countries and growing, with the same hardware, software and service we use ourselves.

Under Supercharger for Business, Canadian hosts need to buy a minimum of four charging posts. They can hire their own installer, with a Tesla Design Engineer guiding the process, and manage pricing, utilization and financials through Tesla's portal while Tesla handles servicing. Tesla's V4 posts deliver up to 500 kW to passenger vehicles, and sites appear on Tesla's in-car navigation.

Semi Charging for Business has a two-post minimum and offers two options. The Megacharger delivers up to 1.2 MW and can add up to 60% of range in 30 minutes, while the 120 kW Basecharger is meant for depots and overnight stops, adding up to 60% of range in four hours. Both use the MCS 3.2 standard, and deliveries are estimated to begin in early 2027.

Context:

Tesla launched Supercharger for Business in the United States in September 2025, and the program has since expanded across Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Tesla followed it up with its Semi Charging for Business program, which lets fleets and other businesses own Tesla's Semi chargers.

In Canada, Tesla already operates the country's largest fast-charging network, with 3,091 ports at the end of Q3 2026, as per Paren data. On the Semi side, R.R. Plett Trucking is preparing to install Canada's first Tesla Megachargers in Langley and Kamloops, British Columbia, ahead of receiving 12 Tesla Semis in June 2027.
