EVwire brief: Electra now operates more than 800 ultra-fast charging stations across Europe, roughly five years after the French company started building its network.
The count spans 10 markets and more than 4,738 charging points, and it is still climbing fast: Electra opened 27 sites in the past two weeks alone, 13 of them new stations and 14 extensions of existing ones.
Electra announced the milestone on LinkedIn:

Cofounder and Deputy CEO of Operations Julien Belliato added that the network's chargers deliver up to 600 kW and run at 99% uptime. He also highlighted that Electra’s next target is 1,000 stations, which he said is coming soon.
Belliato framed reliability as the bigger milestone:
Network scale matters, but what matters most to drivers is that it works: 99% uptime, for a charging experience that's reliable and simple.

Context:
Electra opened its first stations in France in 2022 and has grown quickly since, backed by more than €1 billion (about US$1.17 billion) in lifetime funding. That includes a €304 million (about US$331 million) Series B in January 2024 and a €433 million (about US$500 million) green loan facility in Q3 2025.
At the time of that loan, Electra had just over 500 stations and 3,000 active charging points across nine countries, so the network has added roughly 300 stations and a 10th market in a little over a year. The company is aiming for 2,200 stations and 15,000 high-power charging points by 2030.
Electra has also been playing with the charging experience itself. Earlier this year, it rolled out a station that showed drivers live FIFA World Cup scores while they charged.
