EVwire brief: Tesla has joined Denmark’s Virksomhedsberedskabet (The Business Emergency Management Network), a nationwide coalition of private companies that make their resources and skills available in crisis situations.
The update was shared by Country Lead Martin Niebuhr, who stated that Tesla will be helping Denmark through the Supercharger network and Starlink.
We are ready to take responsibility with extra hands from our skilled employees, maintaining secure and important communication with Starlink and power from our nationwide Supercharging network.
The Business Emergency Management Network brings together companies that voluntarily contribute resources, personnel, and technology during emergencies, with a growing focus on infrastructure and scalable systems.
Tesla’s role centers on its integrated ecosystem, including energy, connectivity, and workforce support.

Tesla’s participation is not entirely new in spirit. The company has been known to help disaster response efforts by enabling free access to its Supercharger network or the deployment of its Mobile Supercharger stations.
Tesla has been doing this for over nine years now. The first time was during Hurricane Irma in September 2017, when the company announced it was unlocking battery capacity in its software-limited cars and making its Superchargers free in affected areas.

A relatively recent example was in January 2025, when Tesla used Cybertrucks as mobile power stations and Starlink hotspots for people affected by wildfires in California.
At the time, Elon Musk even apologized to Cybertruck customers because their vehicle deliveries would be delayed.
Tesla’s infrastructure adds a strong layer to Denmark’s resilience
The organization behind the initiative emphasized Tesla’s role as more than a vehicle manufacturer.
In a post on LinkedIn, The Business Emergency Management Network noted that it is looking forward to seeing Tesla translate its advanced technology into practical help.
With Tesla in the coalition, we are adding a completely new capacity to Denmark's overall resilience. They are a crucial part of a modern emergency response where energy is just as important as fuel and first aid.
The group noted that modern emergency response increasingly depends on reliable energy and communication systems, particularly in scenarios where traditional infrastructure is disrupted.
Tesla’s Supercharger network, combined with satellite connectivity through Starlink, offers a form of redundancy that can support both mobility and communications during crises.
