EVwire brief: Tesla has started the rollout of FSD (Supervised) to AI4 vehicles in the Netherlands, with early users immediately noticing the system’s performance and smooth driving behaviors.
Tesla owners in the Netherlands with compatible vehicles received software update 2026.3.6, which included Full Self-Driving (Supervised) V14.2.2.5. This is the first time that an FSD update has been released to European vehicles.
Prior to this update, Tesla owners in the Netherlands were still using legacy Autopilot. In a comment on X, Elon Musk stated that FSD will be like “getting an iPhone after only using flip phones.”
Context:
In the RDW’s statement, the regulator stated that FSD (Supervised) is “safer than other driver assistance systems” and that “the proper use of this driver's system makes a positive contribution to road safety.”
This has been observed by early users of FSD in the Netherlands. Here are some of their first impressions:
One of the most notable comments came from a first ride by @Space420613262, who stated that FSD (Supervised) is “safer than driving on my own.”
Some users immediately tested FSD (Supervised) on roundabouts, and it performed well:
Another Tesla owner, @Manhee1989, noted that his wife hated Autopilot, but she immediately felt safe with FSD (Supervised) in control of the car.
Speaking of the “wife test,” other wives also gave their seal of approval to FSD (Supervised).
FSD (Supervised) passed the “elderly dad test” too.
Some users have noted that they took several drives with FSD (Supervised), and each one has been impressive.
And just like in North America and China, FSD (Supervised) performs well in narrow streets.
Or even in areas where there are no actual roads at all.
