EVwire brief: XPeng has unveiled plans to deploy more than 4,000 high-power charging (HPC) points across Europe by 2028, outlining an ambitious expansion of its charging network as the automaker accelerates its growth in the region.
Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng announced the goal during the global launch of the XPeng L03 in Munich, describing the initiative as part of the company's effort to build "the fastest charging network in Europe."

XPeng currently operates 3,780+ self-built charging stations across 31 countries and regions, while providing customers access to more than 2.7 million connected chargers worldwide, according to figures presented during the event.
"The goal is very clear, to build the fastest charging network in Europe. By 2028, we will reach 4,000 chargers. As you know, I want more. We hope wherever you go, you can enjoy the fast and smooth charging experience."

Alongside the network expansion, He also confirmed XPeng will bring its X Energy charging platform to Europe. The new system combines ultra-fast charging, energy storage and AI-powered monitoring, with charging output of up to 1 MW (1,000 kW).
According to He, the integrated energy storage system allows X Energy installations to deliver high-power charging even in locations with limited grid capacity, helping accelerate the rollout of fast-charging infrastructure across Europe.
