EVwire brief: Tesla and bk World have opened a new bk World Lounge in Dardilly, near Lyon, France. The lounge is situated next to 28 Tesla Superchargers.
The site is located at 4 Route Départementale 306 along the A6 corridor, and is the fifth joint Tesla–bk World location in France. Just like other bK World locations, the site is open 24/7 to all EV drivers and offers a dedicated indoor space with food, seating, and other amenities.
bK World founder and CEO Gerold Wolfarth shared images of the new site on LinkedIn:
Context:
The Dardilly site expands Tesla and bk World’s network along one of France’s primary long-distance travel routes, serving drivers heading toward southern regions. Its proximity to Lyon positions it as a key stopover on the A6 motorway.
Despite limited space, the facility still includes a climate-controlled indoor area with seating, coffee machines, refrigerators stocked with snacks and drinks, and three sanitary facilities, including accessible options.
CEO Wolfarth highlighted this in his post.
“What makes this site particularly interesting is its tailored approach: the lounge was specifically designed to meet challenging on-site conditions, showing how adaptable and scalable our concept can be, even in constrained environments.”
The Dardilly lounge marks the fifth Tesla–bk World site in France, following earlier openings in Roye, Sénas, Magnant, and Mâcon.

bK World’s lounge offerings
bK World has adopted an interesting approach to the items it sells at its lounges. Previous reports have stated that bK World primarily sells healthy food and drinks that are fresh and low in sugar.
The company has also stated that it avoids working with large corporations so it can support regional and sustainable food producers instead. This means that every lounge features dozens of local products.
We covered one of bK World’s first charging lounge in Spain, which is located in the Supercharger that hosts the country’s 1,000th stall.
