EVwire brief: EV Auto, an independent used-EV dealership chain, is rolling out its own branded Tesla Superchargers, starting at its store in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Co-founder Alex Lawrence says more than 20 locations are already in development across five states, with 50 targeted by the end of 2026 and an eventual goal of over 1,000 nationwide. The Brentwood charger is the first due to open.
“Get ready for a national explosion of EV Auto branded Tesla Superchargers. […] Our overall plan? 1,000+ nationwide.”
Here's Alex Lawrence's update on LinkedIn:
Lawrence says EV Auto is the first dealership to offer Supercharging, with the stalls open to any EV rather than Teslas alone. He is pitching the lots as more than a charge stop, describing a blow-up movie screen showing films at night, free drinks inside, and the option to test-drive a car while the battery fills.
EV Auto is an independent used-EV dealer founded in Utah in 2019, now operating under a parent brand called The EV Group. The chain runs three dealerships, two in Utah and one in Brentwood, Tennessee, which opened in September 2025 as its first store outside the state.
The five-state figure points beyond those three stores. The EV Group already reaches further than its showrooms, with mobile service running in Colorado and California, and the company says two more locations are on the way. For now, the 50-by-year-end and 1,000-plus targets could be seen as goals rather instead of installed stalls, and EV Auto has not said where the rest will go.

Context:
EV Auto’s Tesla chargers run on the Supercharger for Business model, where an outside host buys the hardware and Tesla runs the network and maintenance. EVwire has covered everyone from a private operator in New York to a boutique courtyard with a wine bar in Texas. What stands out here is the operator, a car dealership, and the scale Lawrence is estimating.
The amenities put a familiar spin on the idea. Tesla's own Diner in Los Angeles, which opened in July 2025, pairs roughly 80 Supercharger stalls with a retro restaurant and two big drive-in movie screens. EV Auto's version keeps the movie nights and free drinks but skips the sit-down restaurant.
