EVwire brief: Forum Mobility has begun installing Tesla's Megacharger units with MCS at FM Harbor, its flagship depot at the Port of Long Beach and one of the largest port-based electric truck charging facilities in the United States.
The company shared photos of the Megacharger units arriving on site, describing them as "ultra-fast Tesla Semi-compatible charging."

Context:
The MCS installation at FM Harbor comes as Forum Mobility has been steadily building up a fleet of Tesla Semis for Southern California drayage customers. The company now has 100 Tesla Semis on order across four operators, all serving port freight routes in the region.
The orders came in quick succession this year. In early May, NICA Container Freight Line ordered 20 Tesla Semis and Big F Transport ordered 40 after demoing a unit at FM Harbor. In July, QX Logistix added 20 units, followed days later by ATC Logistics with another 20. The trucks are expected to operate from Forum Mobility depots in the Port of Long Beach and Rancho Dominguez areas.
Forum Mobility has dozens of Tesla Semi orders across its operators.

Beyond FM Harbor, Forum Mobility is building a second facility called FM Santa Fe in Rancho Dominguez, which will feature 14 MCS pull-through charging lanes when it opens in the first quarter of 2027. That site is where most of the 100 ordered Tesla Semis are expected to operate.

Forum Mobility's model is to handle the full electrification stack for fleet operators: it owns and operates the trucks, builds and runs the charging depots, and leases the vehicles to drayage companies. Its customers replace aging diesel day cabs without having to invest in charging infrastructure themselves.
