EVwire brief: Forum Mobility has added ATC Logistics, Inc. to its customer roster. ATC is retiring 11 diesel day cabs as their leases expire, swapping them for 20 Tesla Semis that will run out of Forum Mobility's FM Santa Fe depot in Rancho Dominguez. Both the trucks and the depot are targeting an early 2027 launch.
ATC Logistics operates out of a base between Long Beach and Los Angeles and runs freight operations across 22 countries. On the West Coast, it's a significant player in SoCal drayage, moving freight between warehouse hubs in south central LA and the Inland Empire.
This was highlighted by Forum Mobility on its LinkedIn post.
ATC Logistics Senior Director Steve Yang explained the appeal of the switch.
"ATC has a reputation for reliability and customer service. Long-range Tesla Semis and fast charging at FM Santa Fe will allow us to continue to deliver the same high-quality, dependable services, but without the associated emissions."
Forum Mobility CEO and co-founder Matt LeDucq welcomed the new customer.
"We are proud that ATC Logistics decided to partner with us to expand its electric fleet options. With affordable trucks that offer a 500-mile range and reliable, ultra-fast MCS charging, ATC will be well-positioned to capitalize on increasing shipper interest in zero-emission freight."

The Tesla Semi's 500-mile range and MCS charging are the pitch behind ATC's switch.
Context:
Forum Mobility's charging footprint is expanding beyond the LA basin. Alongside FM Harbor at the Port of Long Beach and FM Santa Fe near the Inland Empire, the company has added FM Pecos in North Las Vegas, aimed at covering the LA-to-Vegas freight corridor.
ATC Logistics is the latest in a growing list of Forum Mobility customers committing to the Tesla Semi out of the Rancho Dominguez depot. QX Logistix signed on for 20 Tesla Semis out of the same FM Santa Fe site earlier this month.

The Tesla Semi is built from the ground up with efficiency in mind.
Before that, Big F Transport ordered 40 Tesla Semis after a demo, and NICA Container Freight Line followed with its own order for 20 Tesla Semis.
