EVwire brief: Hypercharge has launched a new home charging rewards program for Canadian EV drivers. Dubbed the Hypercharge Home Club, the program gives eligible customers a Hypercharge Home Level 2 charger, installation support and rewards for eligible home charging.
Joining Home Club requires a refundable $299 deposit. Members start earning $0.03 per kWh from their first eligible home charging session. Once they reach 1,500 kWh of eligible charging, the deposit is refunded and the reward rate increases to $0.11 per kWh.
The program connects customers with Hypercharge Preferred Partners for installation support, giving members a way to get their home charger installed as part of the program.

Context:
Home charging is becoming an increasingly important part of the EV charging ecosystem, and Hypercharge is using Home Club to bring that ecosystem directly into Canadian households.
The program also builds on Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations, which create a mechanism for eligible residential EV charging activity to generate value that can be returned to participating drivers. In Home Club's case, that value helps fund the charging rewards offered to members.
