EVwire brief: Tesla is coming to Latvia. The company announced on Friday that it will open its first location in the country on August 21 with a pop-up store in Riga, while also enabling online vehicle orders for Latvian customers ahead of the launch.
The expansion gives Tesla a presence in all three Baltic states following its entries into Lithuania in 2024 and Estonia earlier this year. Tesla Europe teased the announcement in a brief post on X before releasing additional details about its Latvian launch.
The new pop-up store will be located at the Spice shopping center in Riga. To mark the occasion, Tesla will host a public opening event from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, where visitors can explore the company's vehicle lineup, learn about its technology and charging solutions, and speak with Tesla product specialists about buying and owning an electric vehicle.
Tesla also noted that Latvian customers will be able to configure and order their vehicles online before the store officially opens.

Context:
The Riga pop-up is Tesla's first physical location in Latvia, and it completes the company's rollout across the Baltics. Tesla launched in Lithuania in 2024, then officially entered Estonia with an April 24 launch event this spring. Latvia rounds out the set.
This one had been flagged for a while. Tesla registered business entities in both Estonia and Latvia back in January, and EVwire noted at the time that a launch was expected within months. Latvia's just landed a bit later than Estonia's, but on the same track.
