EVwire brief: Tesla has opened its first Semi Megacharger site on the East Coast in Conley, Georgia, with eight stalls capable of delivering up to 1.2 MW each.
Photos shared by the official Tesla Charging account on X show the eight charging posts lined up across a freshly paved lot, with the site's power cabinets set behind them and a Tesla Semi parked on site. The location is also now live on Tesla's charging map.
Tesla Charging announced the new site on X:
Are you a heavy-duty EV geek? We just launched eTruckwire, a whole news publication dedicated to electric trucks and heavy-duty charging.
Tesla's charging and Semi leadership also marked the opening on X. Max de Zegher, Tesla's Senior Director of Charging, called it a first for the East Coast. Dan Priestley, Tesla's Semi Engineering Vice President, also replied with a single peach emoji, a nod to Georgia's nickname as the Peach State.

Context:
Tesla's public Megacharger network started in Southern California. The company opened its first public site in Bloomington in July, followed by a second site in Vernon in August. Both have six 1.2 MW stalls and serve the freight corridors around the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
The network has been spreading beyond California since then. In September, Tesla deployed its first pre-assembled Megachargers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, pairing a V4 cabinet with two charging posts to lower the cost of new sites. Tesla has also signed a lease for a Semi charging site in Chehalis, Washington, along I-5, and is surveying locations for Semi charging in Metro Detroit with DTE Energy.
Semi customers and charging partners are adding Megachargers of their own. Forum Mobility has installed Tesla Megachargers at FM Harbor, its Port of Long Beach depot, and Tesla will run public Megacharging at three of Forum's four new California depots. HMD Trucking, which is buying 50 Semis, is also setting up its own chargers in Chicago and plans to use Tesla's public Megacharger network as well.
