EVwire brief: Tesla has posted a job opening for a Driver/Vehicle Operator in Dubai, a role built around testing and collecting real-world data for its Full Self-Driving system across the UAE.
The opening was shared on LinkedIn by Pawel T., a market lead for the Middle East, and the listing sits on Tesla's official careers site. The posting points to FSD Supervised testing taking shape in the Emirates.
“In this position, you will be behind the wheel of our latest vehicles, collecting critical data and helping refine Full Self-Driving capabilities in real-world conditions.”
Here's the listing as shared on LinkedIn:

A behind-the-wheel test driver is one of the first hires Tesla makes when it starts gathering local data for FSD, and the UAE already sits on its FSD Supervised approval map as a market the company is actively pursuing.
The role described is supervised work, not a robotaxi seat. The operator stays fully responsible for the car while it records how the system handles real Emirati roads, the same driver-in-the-loop setup FSD Supervised runs on everywhere it operates today.

Tesla VP of AI Software Ashok Elluswamy's presentation at CVPR 2026 included this slide. The UAE is listed as pending regulatory approval
Context:
The job listing is a signal, not a start date. Tesla has not announced a timeline for FSD in the UAE, and a hiring post can run well ahead of any approval, so this reads as early groundwork rather than an imminent launch.
FSD Supervised’s rollout has been accelerating as of late, particularly in Europe. Following the RDW’s initial approval of the system in the Netherlands, FSD Supervised has been released in several other countries such as Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, and Belgium.
