EVwire brief: Tesla has launched its Semi Charging for Business program across five European markets, giving fleet operators in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and the UK the ability to purchase Tesla's dedicated Semi charging hardware.
The launch comes as Tesla Semi Europe version makes its public debut at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover. Tesla's official Charging account announced that the program is now live in the first five European countries.

In a follow-up post, Tesla Senior Director of Charging Max de Zegher said the company plans to offer it in every country where Tesla operates Megachargers. He also highlighted the competitiveness of Tesla’s charging network in the market.
“If you’re investing in Semi Charging, do it with the best hardware, software & service. We walk the talk. It's the same stack we use ourselves. Our power electronics already deliver 2 TWh/quarter (#1 in the world) and sites we opened a decade ago only have gotten better over time.
“It's not for everyone as we don't offer expensive, questionable customizations. We often have to protect companies from themselves so customers don’t suffer. Improvements apply to all charging products, immediately. This happens daily!”
Similar to the Semi Charging for Business program in the United States, the EU program gives businesses two charging options. The Megacharger is designed for fast turnaround, delivering up to 1.2 MW of power, while the lower-power Basecharger provides up to 125 kW for vehicles that can remain parked for longer periods. Tesla's system uses the MCS 3.2 charging standard.
Tesla's Megacharger cabinet can deliver up to 1.2 MW shared between two charging posts, with an operating voltage range of 180 to 1,000 volts DC. Each individual post is rated for up to 1.2 MW and 1,500 amps. The Basecharger operates at up to 120 kW and 150 amps.
Both chargers are white-labeled, so businesses can customize them according to their preferences. Both are also expected to start deliveries mid-2027.

The Semi Charging for Business Germany page provides a purchase estimate for the charging equipment. A setup with one Megacharger cabinet and two posts, plus two Basechargers, service, and shipment, comes to €197,000 before taxes and installation. Tesla lists the Megacharger equipment at €155,350, the two Basechargers at €26,350, service at €10,200, and shipment at €5,100.

For a baseline comparison, Tesla’s Germany configurator estimates €163,000 for a standalone Megacharger setup with one cabinet and two posts, including service and shipment, while two Basechargers cost an estimated €34,000, including those same fees. Taxes and installation are not included in either estimate.

Context:
Tesla originally launched Semi Charging for Business in May, offering fleet operators the ability to purchase Megachargers and Basechargers for their own sites. The program was designed as an end-to-end charging service, with Tesla providing design assistance, installation options, network monitoring, maintenance, pricing controls, and driver support.
When the program launched in the US, Tesla priced a two-post Megacharger system at $188,000 before taxes and installation, while two Basechargers started at $40,000. The Megacharger system was rated at up to 1.2 MW, while the Basecharger provided 125 kW.
The European expansion comes at an important moment for Tesla's trucking business. The company has now officially introduced the European-spec Semi, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in 2027. The truck is rated for up to 550 km of range at a 40-tonne gross combination weight and can charge at up to 800 kW using Tesla's Megacharger network.
