EVwire brief: Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised is now approved in Croatia, making it the eighth European Union country to roll out the advanced driver-assist system on public roads.
Tesla says the rollout to Croatian customers will begin soon. The approval comes as the EU-wide decision on FSD Supervised appears to be slipping to December.

Croatia joins the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Belgium, Slovenia and Czechia on the list of EU countries that have individually cleared FSD Supervised. Czechia's approval came just over a week ago, after months of review by its Ministry of Transport.
Each national approval adds weight to the case for a bloc-wide authorization, which needs a qualified majority of at least 15 of the EU's 27 member states. That vote had been expected at the EU Technical Committee on Motor Vehicles' October 6 meeting, and Sweden has already signaled it will vote in favor.
However, the official agenda for that October 6 meeting lists further discussions on FSD Supervised but no vote. That makes the committee's December meeting the earliest likely opportunity for an EU-wide decision.

Whenever the EU does vote, member states will have a growing pile of safety data to weigh. Tesla's own FSD Supervised Evidence Dashboard pools 102 million kilometers (63.4 million miles) of driving from 70,000 users across Europe. Over that distance, cars running FSD Supervised were involved in 4.1 times fewer collisions than manually driven cars, and 98% of the kilometers driven on the system were logged at or below the median traffic speed.
Belgium has produced the most granular country-level numbers so far. Data released earlier this month showed FSD Supervised covering 24.6 million kilometers (15.3 million miles) on Belgian roads from June through August. Away from highways, its crash rate came in roughly 9.6 times below that of manual driving, while on highways the gap narrowed to about 30%.
